SSON Research & Analytics Announces Winners of 2023 Top 20 Most Admired SSOs & GBS  

New York, NY - SSON Research & Analytics, the global analytics center of the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON), has today released a list of organizations that have been identified as the Top 20 Most Admired Shared Services Organizations (SSOs) and Global Business Services (GBS). 

In its 7th year, the award recognizes the hard work put in by Shared Services and GBS professionals and aims to celebrate and capture the exceptional performance of leading brands, including key objectives, strategies and benchmarks. 

The winners of the Top 20 Most Admired SSO/GBS were selected through a rigorous evaluation process. They earned their accolades by first being identified as admired SSO/GBS through a comprehensive analysis of cross-channel data from SSON such as SSON Impact Awards, the World's Best GBS Award, past top 20 winners, recommendations from SSON Judging Faculty and SSON Global Advisory Board. Subsequently, they further distinguished themselves by excelling in an extensive benchmarking study that evaluated their organization's profile and performance benchmarks.

The Benchmarking Study 
The Top 20 Most Admired SSO/GBS initiative is a by-invitation only performance study for SSO/GBS that are held in high esteem by the SSON global community. Invited SSO/GBS are evaluated based on their service delivery model, digital ecosystem, key achievements and performance benchmarks. 
 
The Top 20 benchmarking report showcases the aggregated data of the Top 20 winners including the top quartile, median benchmark, and bottom quartile for 63 metrics across these nine categories: Attrition, Automation, General Finance, HR & Talent, Order to Cash (O2C), Payroll, Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R), and Travel & Expense. Top 20 Most Admired SSO/GBS Selection Criteria 
SSON Research & Analytics has adopted a rigorous evaluation process which is split into two parts: 

1. Shortlisting SSO/GBS that are held in high esteem by their peers in the industry by utilizing cross-channel data from SSON's global community of 180.000 members:
   
   • SSON Impact Awards: Winners and finalists over the past one year 
   • SSON R&A World Best GBS Award: Winner and finalists over the past one year
   • SSON R&A Top 20 Most Admired SSO/GBS: Alumni over the past two years
   • SSON Judging Faculty: Recommendations by SSON R&A and SSOW judges globally
   • SSON Global Advisory Board
      
2. Shortlisted GBS are invited to take part in an extensive benchmarking study. The Top 20 winners are recognized based on the results of this study.
